On 16th November, in Senior Nehru Hockey Tournament, 3 matches were played.

In the first match, Rock Rovers beat Indian Air Force, Chandigarh 5-4. Rovers took lead as Rawat netted the ball in 6th minute but IIF came back strongly with a goal each from Prabhakar adn Virender. Rovers’ Gurjinder equalizes the score-line, but IIF’s Rajesh took lead yet again. This incident was repeated when Gagandeep got a goal for Rovers and Virender scored again for IIF. So, in the 59th minute, IIF was leading 4-3. But Gurjinder Singh’s goal in the 61th minute made it 4-4 and a penalty stroke conversion from Gagandeep Singh in the extra times fetched a 5-4 lead for Rovers.

In the second match, Punjab National Bank thrashed M.P. XI 6-0. Lakhwinder Singh got 2 goals while Damandeep Singh, Ravinder Singh, Yudhveer Singh & Banmali scored a piece each.

In the last match, Karnataka XI beat Center Railway, Mumbai 5-1. For Karnatka, Uthappa scored 2 goals and Somanna, Anup & Dinesh netted once. Deepak Lakra was the lone goal scorer for Railways.
