Born on 29th Dec. 1994, Bhopal's Affan Yousuf comes from a family of hockey players. His father Mohammed Yousuf  and Olympian uncle Sameer Dad are former players of repute. his grandfather Khuda Dad too was a star of his own right to emerge from the early Bhopal nursery days. Stout Affan, a natural left-winger, has been in and out of the national teams for almost a decade now. He made his debut early in 2012. He was in action at the Sultan of Johor Cup (2013), 2014 HWL Finals in Delhi, 2016 Asian Champions Trophy (gold) and 2017 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.
