Legendary field hockey player of India, Eliza Nelson led Indian women's hockey team to many victories, while donning the nation's colours for more than a decade. Under her leadership, Indian women won the inaugural hockey gold at the 1982 Asian Games. A student of Minoo Kolakari, a freelance trainer from Pune in Maharashtra, Eliza dominated the women hockey scene in the late 70s through mid way through 1980s.
