Born on 1st Jan. 1995, Punjab's Gurinder Singh has established himself as a star defender with the senior men's national hockey team. After a spectacular run in the junior internationals which culminated in him winning the home Jr World Cup, he cemented his place in the senior team too. He played the Sultan of Johor Cup twice (2011 & 2014).

Gurinder Singh has represented India at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Sultan Azlan Shah Cups in 2017 & 2019, Asian Champions Trophy in 2018. Besides, he was part of many bilateral Series and invitational  tournaments.
