Born on 25th Oct.1995, Punjab's Gurjit Kaur is fast proving to be India's trump card with the Indian national women's hockey team. Her skills in defence and expertise in the penalty corner drag-flicks proved to be match winner at present.

Since made her senior international debut in 2014 after missing out the Jr World Cup, Gurjit Kaur  has played the World Cup (2018); Asian Games (2018); Asia Cup (2017); Hockey World League Round 3  (2017); Commonwealth Games (2018), besides innumerable AHF, invitational and Bilateral Series.

She also figured in the Olympic Qualifying Series against the USA in 2019, which India won and thus qualified for the Tokyo number.
