Young Lalreamsiami is the latest sensation in the Indian women's hockey domain. The talented striker is from Mizoram, and was an incumbent of Delhi based National Hockey Academy. She has won Silver at the Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games in 2018 after being part of the Silver winning Indian team of the Asian Youth Olympic Qualifier held in Bangkok. Lalremsiami made her international debut against Belarus in 2017. Same year she won the Asia Cup at Gifu, Japan. Uniquely, she is the first Indian women hockey player to win the coveted FIH Rising Star of the Year 2019. Since made her senior international debut in 2017, Lalremsiami has played the World Cup (2018); Asian Games (2018); Asia Cup (2017); Commonwealth Games (2018) besides many age group tournaments and Bilateral Series. She also figured in the Olympic Qualifying Series against the USA in 2019, which India won and thus qualified for the Tokyo number. In the age-group events she took part in 1. U-18 AHF Cup (2016), Asian Youth Olympic Games Qualifier & Youth Olympic Games (2018), home France A Series (2019).
