Famous Goalkeeper Neena Asaikar played for the popular domestic unit Lusitanians in Mumbai. She played in the domestic circle about a decade. India reached the semifinals of the World Cup only once. It was in 1974 in Paris, France. Neena Asaikar was proud part of that epoch making team. She was also part of the team golden team that clinched the title at the 6-Nation Begum Rasool International Cup held in Chennai, 1975. She was employed with Central Bank of India. She married Sunil Rane, colleague in the Bank.
She lives in Mumbai.
