Born on 27th Dec. 2001, Jharkhand's Salima Tete is rising star of Indian national women's hockey team. She led India for silver at both the Asian Youth Olympic Games Qualifier (Bangkok) and Youth Olympic Games (Argentina).
Though she obtained her senior spurs in the 2016 Australia tour, became permanent in the team only from 2019 Europe tour. She played all the Series and Events that India played including the vital Olympic Qualifying Series.
In age group, she played in the U-21 Valencia 5-Nation (2016), U-18 AHF Cup (2016), U-23 Antwerp 6-Nation (2018), as India A member against visiting France A (2019) and U-21 Canberra 3-Nation Cup (2019).
