Sarwanjit Singh scored a brace of goal against England in the CWG semifinal, which helped India to reach first-ever CWG final. With this, this lad who made his international debut in 2007, has arrived -- on the big stage.

Sarwanjit Singh is a talented forward, having a nose for opportunistic goals.

The Punjab striker made his senior international debut under coach Joaquim Carvalho in 2007 (Sultan Azlan Shah Cup).

After a year’s lull, he played his next senior tournament in the next Azlan Shah Cup. In between he toured Germany and Malaysia as a part of junior India teams. Recalled to the national side by coach Harendera, he was part of the tours in 2009, which peaked with gold at the Azlan Shah Cup 2009.

He scored a goal in the Delhi World Cup.
