The Indian women’s hockey team went down to The Netherlands 0-1 at the Volvo Invitational U-21 Tournament on Sunday.
Indian team maintained pressure on the opponents they even ensured that they kept the opponents attack at bay, thwarting all their attempts to score.
Though Carmen Wijsman broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute through a brilliant field goal, which did not give the Indian goalkeeper any chance. Thanks to Wijsman’s strike Netherlands was leading the first half scores at 1-0.
The second half saw a similar story as both teams continued to put pressure on each other.
While The Netherlands were looking to consolidate, the Indian eves were aiming at an equaliser, which never happened.
