The FIH has announced the allocation of teams for Olympic Qualification Tournaments.
After the Oceania Cup, nine of the 12 Olympic participants for both the men’s and the women’s hockey tournaments are now finalized:
Men:
Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Korea, Netherlands, Pakistan, South Africa, Spain.
Women:
Argentina, Australia, China, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa.

In the event that a nation does not accept the invitation to participate in a qualifier, it will be replaced directly by the reserve nations in order of world ranking.
