Diwakar Ram takes India to the repeat final of the Junior Asia Cup. He scored a brace in the second half after Gurwinder Chandi put India ahead in the first half in the 16th minute.
India defeated Pakistan comprehensively 3-1 to make it to the second straight final — India are the depending champions.

Indians did the appreciable crowd with incisive rundowns and clever interception.

In the first ten minutes or so, the Pakistani forwards were evoking awe, and the credit for keeping the scoreboard clean in that spell should go to vocal and dynamic PR Sreejesh, the goalkeeper.

After surviving those moments, India went up when Chandi connected a hit from the corner in the 16th minute.

Soon after the second half Indian enlarged the lead with Diwakar Ram scoring off a penalty corner in the 38th minute.

India unnecessarily conceded a penalty corner near the 25-yardline with a rough tackle, which Kashif Ali converted, indicating the tough time for the Indians. It was in the 42nd minute

In the same way India gave away the corner earlier, Pakistan also did once, body-tackling SV Sunil on the Indian right flank. Diwakar converted the resultant penalty corner to take the game further away from the arch rivals.
