India faced another heavy defeat, losing to Germany 3-5 in the second match of the Humburg Masters in Germany.
In a match that saw four goals in the first fifteen minutes — both teams shared them equally — Germany came alive in the remaining time to score three more goal, the last one coming in the last minutes, while could make only a single.
Ironically, its India that broke the deadlock with a goal coming from youngster Dharamvir Singh. His goal in the 41st minute should have galvanized Indian attack, but the reverse occured, as time wore by the hosts ascended, scored three more goals, the last one coming in the last minute to seal India to the lower rungs.
When India took part in the tournament in 2003, it emerged the winners.
Goal Sequence:
2nd min: Sandeep Singh
11th min: Jan Marco Montag
15th min: Rajpal Singh
15th min: Florian Fuchs
41st min: Dharamvir Singh

Any Indian team is doomed to lose (forever) to Germany, Holland or Australia. We were leading with 20 mins to go and I’m surprised we lost by only 2 goals from there. 20 years from now this same routine we be played out with the usual thrashing for us. Tomorrow I expect us to lose to Japan who beat Holland 3-2.
