The good win came at Rockingham, a suburb of Perth. Watched by the entire Indian men’s team, the girls provided smiles on them with this narrow win.
Australia took the early lead in the 4th minute with Amy Corner only to see it is equlized in the second half by hard working Soundarya Yendala. She converted India’s second penalty corner, first in the second half.
India kept up the tempo in the second which was lacking in the first session, and came out with a stunner of a goal in the 64th minute to silence the home crowd.

With this win, India’s four match series now stands on an even keel, as the visitors lost the first encounter 2-3 yesterday.
India trailed by two goals in the first half of the first match yesterday, but scored twice in the second half. That was not enough for the visitors as Australia scored another goal in the second half, thus winning the tour opener 2-3.
In the lost match yesterday, same Soundarya scored a goal, the other onr coming from the stick of captain Saba Anjum.
