Indian Airlines, which defeated BPCL in the semis via tie-breaker, again came out successfully in the tie-breaker for the final to lift their first Surjit Hockey Title. Indian airlines took the lead, but surrendered it when Deepak Thakur equalised in the dying minutes. It is Airlines’ second title of the season after winning the Nehru Cup a week ago.
