A brace of penalty corner goals by skipper Surinder Kaur enabled the Indian women hockey team trounce Canada 4-1 in the third Test of the four match series at Tamanawis Park, Surrey today.

India thus won the Canada – India Cup 2010 having beaten the hosts in the opening game while the second match was drawn.

India led 2-1 at half time after Anna Kozniuk had given Canada the lead from a penalty corner in the 10th minute.

Surinder restored parity in the 17th minute and four minutes later Jasjeet Kaur Handa gave India the lead from another penalty corner conversion.

The Indian captain struck again in the 38th minute to make it 3-1 before striker Rani Rampal sealed Canada’s fate with a field goal in the 54th minute,

India earned eight penalty corners while their opponents got two.

The final Test will be played tomorrow at UBC Wright Field in Vancouver.
