Jaideep says he is happy writing films

JAIDEEP Sahni, who has written hit movies like Company, Bunty Aur Babli, Khosla Ka Ghosla and Chak De! India , says he would never take up direction.

When we asked if he plans to get into direction, like many other writers have done, he said, “ I don’t plan to. Rather, I really don’t want to. I think I am very happy this way.” Jaideep feels every person is good at a definite job and it is best that he does not try doing everything.

“ For example, when I wrote Chak De, I knew Shimit was a better person to direct the movie. A director has a defined job and I don’t think I fit into it,” he says.

He also admits he is too lazy to take up direction.

The writer says he is happy waking up late in the morning. “ I would rather be this way, watch tennis and enjoy rather than wake up with 250 people standing on my head,” he says.
