KHS beat Friends Club

JAMMU, Oct 23: Khalsa High School (KHS) overwhelmed Friends Club by 4-2 goals in the ongoing sub junior hockey tournament of district Srinagar being played at Polo Ground today.

The goal scorers for the winner team included Kamalpreet, Amandeep and Balbir while Bony Beet Singh and Jagjeet Singh scored a goal each for Friends Club.

In the second match, Badal Club trounced Islamia College by identical margin (4-2).

Pardeep Singh, Mohinderpal, Amitpal and Pardeep Singh scored goals for Badal Club whereas Nowshad and Tahir chipped in with a goal each for Islamia College.

The matches were officiated by Kamaldeep Singh, Pardeep Singh (jr), Gurdeep Singh, Pardeep Singh (sr), Jagjeet Singh and Avtar Singh.

M S Baba was the chief guest on the occasion while Inderjeet Singh was the guest of honour.
