Sports Hostel stroked past Sports College 4-3, while SAI had a consummate 3-0 win against Sashastra Seema Bal in the district senior hockey league at Babu stadium. In the first match, both Sports Hostel and Sports College failed to break the deadlock in the regulation time before the former came up triumphs in the penalty shootout. The other match between SAI and SSB turned out to be a one-sided affair with the SAI striking thrice through Janardan (25th), A Singh (20th) and Shashi Kant (29th). With the all the three goals coming before halftime, the SAI boys relaxed a bit in the second-half and that provided some respite to the SSB defenders later on.
