Indian men and women played a match that enlivened the gallery on Saturday. India won both the matches and the full crowd would have returned heart filled.

Its Dipika Thakur who scored a brace of goals against South Africa, both from the direct conversion of penalty corners.

On the men’s side which has almost all big names in the roll, its new player Dharamvir Singh who shone against Scotland.

Though Dipika has been in the team for long, she rose to the occasion against the Africans, with innovative ability to score straight from the stopped ball which also she did.

On the other hand, Dharamvir, who scored a beautiful grounder against Australia, came out with a brace of goals, one each in each half.
