INDIAN WOMEN: ACTION: TEST MATCH AGAINST IRELAND

The Indian Women Hockey team defeated Ireland 3-1 in their first test match played at Dublin, Ireland on Tuesday. This tour is in preparations for the Champions Challenge 1, scheduled to be held at Glasgow, Scotland from 27 April – 4 May 2014.

INDIAN MEN: ACTION: TEST MATCH AGAINST BELGIUM

16 April 2014: Indian Senior Men Hockey team lost to Belgium 1-2 in a hard fought third build-up game played at Naarden in The Netherlands today. This tour is in preparations for the FIH Men’s World Cup 2014, scheduled to be held at The Hague, Netherlands from 31 May -15 June 2014.

India 1: Rupinder Pal Singh 58th minute; Belgium 2- Tom Boon 17th minute and 59th minute

DOMESTIC HOCKEY: Cairn Women’s Cup:

The first ‘Cairn India Rajasthan Women’s Hockey Cup 2014’ was held at Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Jaipur from 8th to 12th April. Women hockey teams from eight districts across Rajasthan – Banasthali, Jaipur, Ganganagar, Churu, Ajmer, Hanumangarh, Alwar and Sawai Madhopur – participated. Jaipur won the ultimate honours.

DELHI HOCKEY SELECTION TRIALS

Delhi Hockey announce the Hockey Trails for 4th Sub Junior National Men/Women at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium New Delhi from 21st April onwards between 3 and 7PM. Players born on or after 1.1.1998 are eligible. They need to bring the following certificates while coming for the trials:
a. Date of Birth Certificate from Delhi

b. Rational Card of Delhi

c. Identity Proof of Delhi

d. Resident Proof of Delhi.
