Olympic hockey star Nikki Hudson has apologised after posting lewd messages on her Facebook site. The 32-year-old wrote that she would like to be ‘impaled’ by the Spanish men’s hockey team in a message posted on August 22. She joins the list of other high-profile athletes including swimmer Stephanie Rice who have been plagued by Facebook-related controversies.
The latest embarrassment prompted Hockey Australia to warn players against public Internet communication. “Nikki thinks the running of the bulls should be changed and we should be chased by the spainish (sic) mens hockey team,’’ News.com.au quoted Hudson, as stating on the website. “I would definately (sic) make sure I got caught and impaled,’’ she added.
