Pargat Singh meets Rahul Gandhi on election issue

Hockey India President prospect Padamshree Pargat Singh, along with some of his Hockey India electoral college members, met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and submitted a memorandum.

Today early in the morning, Pargat Singh, Secretary of Hockey Punjab, Olympian Gurbux Singh, Amrit Bose, Dr. Rajgopal of Rajasthan and Kukoowalia, met Rahul Gandhi, General Secretary of the ruling Congress party, and handed over a memorandum. The memo asks for speedying up the electoral process, and accuses of Suresh Kalmadi, the IOA president, of coming in the way of proper election process.

It is learnt that Rahul Gandhi spent good time with the delegation, and patiently heard their grievances. He instructed his official to write to sports minister MS Gill on this matter, requsting him to consider the issues raised.
