Delhi enters quarterfinals
Delhi defeated Rajasthan 3-1 via penalty shootout to book a berth in the quarterfinals of the National junior women’s hockey championship at the Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai, complex here on Thursday.
In a closely-fought Pool H match, both Delhi and Rajasthan were locked 2-2 in the regulation time and the extra time.
In the shootout, Delhi goalkeeper Swaleha saved two attempts from Rajasthan to ensure her side’s progress to the last eight.
