NEW DELHI: The International Hockey Federation (FIH) on Saturday dispelled the notion that the administration of the sport in the country, managed by Hockey India (HI), was in turmoil. It promised that the HI elections would be held by the “end of January 2010 and not later than that.”
Addressing the media here, the Vice-President of the FIH, Antonio von Ondarza, said the scheduled HI elections on November 18 were postponed in order to give some State associations more time to complete the formalities. — Sports Reporter
