NEW DELHI: The Hockey India (HI) elections, scheduled on November 18, have been postponed till next year, according to HI spokesperson Anupam Gulati.

The decision was taken after a meeting between HI officials and the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Vice-President Antonio van Ondarza here on Friday.

Gulati said in order to take part in the elections the State bodies had to come through their respective State Olympic associations.

The FIH had earlier insisted that elections should be held before the holding of the men’s World Cup in New Delhi from February 28 to March 13. — Sports Reporter
