Durban: South Africa scored a convincing 4-1 victory over India in the four-nation hockey tournament for women on Wednesday. The home team led 1-0 at half-time.

Vida Ryan (two), Vidette Ryan, and Kate Woods scored for the winner, while Ritu Rani netted the lone goal for India.

In another match, Argentina drew 2-2 with Australia. Casey Estham and Kate Hollywood scored for Australia, while the scorers for Argentina were Diniela Sruoga and Carla Rebecchi.
