Korean women qualify

San Diego: Korea qualified for the 2010 women’s hockey World Cup to be held in August-September at Rosario with a 3-1 victory over United States in the tournament to determine the qualifiers on Saturday.

Korea joins China and India as the third Asian team in the 12-team competition. India and China made the grade by taking the top two places in the Asia Cup played at Bangkok in November 2009.
