SAI’s hockey coaching centre

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Sports Authority of India will start a coaching centre for hockey at Christ College Irinjalakuda.

Twenty sportspersons will be admitted to the SAI centre from this year. Selected trainees will be a monthly stipend of Rs 600 they will be given TA and DA to take part in national and State meets. SAI will also bear the kits allowance of the trainees.

Dr. G. Kishore, SAI Regional Director Bangalore, held discussions with the College management and sanctioned Rs. one lakh to the college for buying sports equipments.
