NEW DELHI: Drag-flicker Sandeep Singh was on Saturday ruled out of the FIH Champion’s Challenge I hockey tournament to be played at Salta, Argentina, from December 6-13. Diwakar Ram replaced Sandeep.

As per the medical report of orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Parag Sancheti, Sandeep is suffering from acute lumbar strain with right L5 radculopathy, a Hockey India statement said.

Sandeep has to go through a rehabilitation programme for three weeks and has been advised not to involve in any strenuous activity.
