State u-21 team

BANGALORE: The Karnataka under-21 hockey team will play home-and-away Test match series (three apiece) against Mumbai, starting from January 22, at Mumbai.

After completion of three matches at Mumbai, the return three Test matches will be played either at Bangalore or Madikeri in conjunction with the State Super Division hockey league championship scheduled to be held at the end of March/April 2010.

The u-21 team: Goalkeepers: Jagdeep, Vijay Vignesh. Defenders: Deepak Bejiwad, Sachin Malad, Chittiappa. Mid-fielders: Amith Chandra, K.D. Cariappa, Md. Rafeeq (captain), S.K. Uthappa, K.J. Bopaiah, Karuna Mitra, Vasu, Vinayak. Forwards: Manu Patil, Pradhan Somanna, Biju, Muddappa, Poonacha, Nikin Thimmaiah, Nithin Thimmaiah.
