World Series Hockey 2011 has picked up momentum with international players and coaches arriving in India for preparatory camps.
According to information available, the first batch, including crowd-pullers like Sung Min Lee (South Korea), have already landed, along with Stephenson Lloyd James (New Zealand) and Andreu Enrich (Spain).
The Pakistanis are supposed to be the next group of foreign players to report in the coming weeks.
South Korean star Sung Min will play for the Mumbai franchise in the WSH. “I am eagerly looking forward to meeting my teammates. I have already had a few interactions with captain Adrian D’Souza, coach Andrew Meredith.”
Chennai Cheetahs head coach Jose Brasa said, “All the teams are a fine mix of international superstars and fantastic local talent. The players would be playing as a unit for the first time. The preparatory camps have been designed to build team understanding and devise strategy using the diverse skills of the players.”
