Women’s team get funds

New Delhi: The Indian women’s hockey team players will receive Rs 2.2 lakh each on Friday, the sports ministry announced on Thursday. “An official has left for Bhopal and on Friday morning, she will distribute Rs 2.2 lakh each to the 41 players at the camp,” the ministry said. In Bhopal on Thursday, meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan distributed drafts worth Rs 23 lakh to 18 players and five officials.
