Coca-Cola India and Reebok become World Cup sponsors
NEW DELHI: Drinks brand Coca-Cola India and sports apparel company Reebok have signed up sponsorship deals with the Hero Honda FIH Hockey World Cup, to be held from February 28-March 13, in Delhi.
Coca-Cola India will be the ‘Official Beverage Partner’, while Reebok the ‘Official Apparel Partner’ of the prestigious 12-nation hockey tournament, a release said on Monday.
“Coca-Cola India has always believed in promoting a healthy, active lifestyle through sports and has had a long term association with various sports globally. We are very proud to announce our association with the hockey World Cup.
“Hockey enthusiasts across India would get a chance to share their passion for the game of hockey. We look forward to some power-packed hockey action in March this year,” said Atul Singh, President and CEO of Coca-Cola India.
“As a brand we are rooted in the ideology of sports and we are proud to contribute to our national game by being part of the World Cup,” said Subhinder Singh Prem of Reebok India.
Jamie Stewart, managing director Commune Sports and Entertainment said, “It is very positive news for hockey that brands of the calibre of Coca-Cola and Reebok are partnering with the national sport. We thank them for their contribution and for supporting this landmark event.”
