Maken hopes to break HI, IHF deadlock

NEW DELHI: In order to clear the mess surrounding the National Games, sports minister Ajay Maken, on Thursday, said he would be meeting representatives from rival camps of both Hockey India (HI) and Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) on Saturday.

“I think HI and IHF should work together. I have asked them to meet me on Saturday,” Maken said, adding: “As far as interest of hockey is concerned, we have good people on both the sides and when we decide to bring on board good people from both the sides for a discussion, I am confident that they will express their unanimity on most of the decisions.”
