Middleton out with broken toe from Champions Trophy hockey
LONDON: England captain Barry Middleton has been ruled out of next week’s Champions Trophy hockey tournament in Germany after breaking his toe in a training match.
The 26-year-old, who sustained the injury on Friday in a practice match against Spain at Lilleshall, will be replaced by Bowdon forward Alastair Brogdon.
A replacement captain for the tournament will be appointed once the team arrives in Monchengladbach.
