Competitions Operations Manager of 2010 Hockey World Cup joins WSH
Tina Brullo signs on to ensure that the all aspects of competition meet global standards
MUMBAI, 24 November, 2011:
Tina Brullo, a globally recognized name in the sports industry with over 15 years of extensive experience in managing international sports events operations, has signed on with World Series Hockey as competition operations manager.
Tina has played a major role in several global events, including the Hockey World Cup in 2010, where she was the competitions operations manager and was responsible for organization of all aspects relating to competition to FIH standards, including all areas of field of play & warm up pitch, team training schedules and transport, procurement of sports specific and technical bench equipment, recruitment and training of sports specific volunteers, assisting Technical officials/Umpires, assisting with the accreditation process and zoning
The other highlights of her career include the 2011 Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix, 2011 AFC Asian Cup, 2009 Samsung Women’s Champions Trophy, 2009 ABN Amro Men’s Champions Trophy, 2006 Doha Asian Games, 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games, 2004 Athens Olympics among several others.
She’s also had significant stints with sports associations, having worked with the International Hockey Federation (FIH), Cricket Australia and Hockey Australia.
Tina said, “I’m excited to be part of World Series Hockey, which is by far the biggest initiative that hockey has ever seen. It’s the first time that eight different venues will be used in a single tournament in just over a month and managing competition operations for a hockey event of this scale is a big opportunity. I’m going to relish the challenge and look forward to an action packed next couple of months”
