Wins for Chandigarh, Annamalai & Jalandhar Colleges in SAIL Nehru Championship

Day-2 of the 17th SAIL Nehru Champions Colleges Hockey tournament, being played at Gwalior, spectators saw almost one-sided encounters.

In the first match, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College Chandigarh beat MG Kashi Vadyapeeth, Varanasi 5-1.

Ameet Bhargava scored a brace, while Rupinderpal Singh, Harinder Singh & Preetinder Singh scored a piece each for Chandigarh. Mohd. Javed Ali scored the lone goal for the losing team.

In the second match, Annamalai University Tamilnadu beat GHG Khalsa College Ludhiana 2-0. Iyappan & Laxman scored a goal each for Annamalai.

In the last match Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar thrashed Municipal College Rourkela 5-0.

Jaskaran, Jaswinder & Gurpreet Singh scored a piece each while Jasjit Singh scored two goals.
