Two of the past stars, William Xalxo and SV Sunil – both missed various assignments due to injury – are among the found their name in the pruned national probables list announced by the Hockey India.

The selection process is a joke. Because domestic hockey situation is non existent, we keep getting the same old face rotating from one failure to the next. As we won’t have Sardara, our chances of doing well at the Azlan Shah tournament are poor. Sandeep will be missed just for his PCs, but not for his defending. HI & IHF are more interested in fighting each other than taking any sensible steps for the future improvement of our hockey. The Sc has also gone quiet about resolving the farcical stand off between the 2 factions. It claimed that they would take 1 week to fix this crap….
Regarding the final squad, I will be livid if Chandi makes a comeback. That will be going back to our age old problem of favourites getting the nod, rather than those who really deserve a chance.
how could we curse the cricket for damaging other games. if one go through this list, he could find some funny names like Hari Prasad, Vikas Chaudhary, Shashi Topno,Prabhdeep singh, rajesh kumar,Vikram kant etc. if this is the future of indian hockey then it is better we should stop playing it.
