One of the seniors in the  Indian women team of late 1990s, Dipika Murthy made a name for herself with exemplary goalkeeping skills and showcasing them in vital tournaments.

Stout, stellar and bright student, she graduated from LJ Commerce College, Ahmadabad. Played for St. Xavier Loyal Gymkhana Club in Ahmadabad. Represented Gujarat in the 1994 Junior Nationals and 1995 Senior Nationals. She made her junior international debut against Germany in 2000. She was understudy of goalkeeper Helen Mary before carving a niche for herself.

Dipika works for the Indian Railways, posted at Mumbai. She was part of gold winning Kazan Champions Challenge II, silver winning Bangkok Asia Cup and bronze winning 2010 Asian Games.
