Born on 1st July 1949, Maharashtra's Otilla Mascarenhas made her senior international debut at the 1968 Asian Championship held in Delhi. She also took part in the Indian campaign in the Silver Jubilee Cup in Japan (1970) and New Zealand (1971). She played for India despite being a Medical Student. She was awarded Arjun in 1973.
