Bhubaneswar based new outfit Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre and SAI Academy entered the final of the first ever Hockey India Academy Nationals in contrasting style. While the Tata girls bulldozed the another new outfit in the horizon, Roundglass Hockey Academy (Punjab) 8-0, the SAI Academy girls came from behind to equal and then came out triumphant in the shoot out to set aside the Gwalior outfit Madhya Pradesh Women’s Hockey Academy 4-3. The full times score was 2-2, after the ultimate winners equalized just three minutes from the end.

The second semifinal match was played under floodlight.
