Pakistan outplayed Bangladesh 6-2 to set a semifinal date with South Korea on Tuesday in the 2021 Asian Champions Trophy. The other semi-final will feature table toppers India and Japan, fourth placed in the five-nation event. Bangladesh, who lost all four matches, finish with the wooden spoon.

At the Maulana Bhasani Stadium in Dhaka on Sunday, Pakistan led 4-1 at halftime after Bangladesh shot ahead through Arshad Hossain who scored both goals, the second in the 35th minute.

Ahmed Nadeem (14, 26), Amazon Ahmad (18, 38), Arfraz (24) scored field goals for Pakistan with the lone penalty corner strike coming from Muhammad Razzaq in the 34th minute.

Pakistan play South Korea in the first semi-final followed by India vs Japan.
