New Delhi, January 19, 2015: After a grueling four days of group matches, the top four teams in the junior (U-17) and sub junior (U-14) with fight it out in the semi-finals of the inaugural Cairn Juniors Hockey Cup 2015.In the junior category Modern School, Barakhamba Road will play against SS Mota Singh, Janakpuri, whereas GBSSS, Saket J will take on GBSSS, Mahrauli in the semi-finals. In the sub junior semi-finals VCS Agriculture, Khera Kheri will play SBV, Ashok Nagar and Yogi Arvind SBV, Ambedkar Nagar will play against GBSSS, Khanpur in the other semi- final.The semi finals will be held tomorrow at the Shivaji Stadium.

In the last day of group matches Modern School, Barakhamba Road beat Army Public School, Daula Kuan in a group match in the junior (U-17) category to advance to the semi-final. Modern School continued their good form to win 4-0. They took the lead in the 14th minute through a Rahul Gharai goal. Rohit Gharai scored two goals and the captain Keshav Kanodia scored one for the winning team.

In another juniors match GBSSS, Mahrauli beat SBV, Ashok Vihar 1-0 in a closely contested match. Baljeet scored the winning goal in the 11th minute of the match.GBSSS, Saket J thumped Delhi Police Public School 6-0 in a junior match. Vikas scored a brace for Saket J and Sonu, Sunil, Sandeep and Sushil scored one goal each.SS Mota Singh, Janakpuri defeated Manasthali 3-0 in a under 17 match. They took the lead in the 4th minute and two more goals in the 15th and 49th minute. Deep scored to goals and Lovejeet scored one for the winning team.

In a sub junior (U-14) match SBV, Ashok Nagar thrashed SBV, Pushp Vihar 8-0. The boys from Ashok Nagar got off to a great start by taking the lead in the second minute of the game. Ankit scored four goals, Navneet, Rohit, Manish Khir and Jatin scored a goal apiece.
