Inaugural Cairn Junior Hockey Cup gets underway at the Shivaji Stadium

New Delhi, January 15, 2015: The inaugural Cairn Junior Hockey Cup got underway today at the Shivaji Stadium in the city with two under 14 games. The first game saw Govt. Boys Senior Secondary School, Saket take on Govt. Boys Senior Secondary School, Ghittorni. The boys from Ghittorni prevailed over their rivals in a closely contested game with a solitary goal by Ghanshyam in the 34th minute of the game. Both the sides created several chances but failed to find the back of the net, until Ghansyam, who came as a substitute in the 30th minute scored the winning goal.

In the second match of the day Yogi Arvind School beat Anglo Arabic School 1-0, with skipper Sanjay Soni scoring the only goal. Yogi Arvind School dominated the game and were clearly the better side today.
