One of the seven players who won the Inter-Provincial Championship at Kolkata (1932), Lal Shah Bhokari had been a  brilliant student, player and administrator. He studied at Government College, Lahore (now in Pakistan) when selected to lead India at the Los Angeles Olympics (1932) where India retained the title in the 3-Nation Olympics.
