Born on July 24th 1960 in Bombay, Selma Juliet Christina D'Silva made her international debut at the age of 15 at the Begum Aijaz Rasool International Cup in Madras. She was part of every Indian team from 1955 to 1983. She was top-scorer of the 1982 Asian Games when India won the gold. She worked and played for Indian Railways.
She was awarded Padamshree in 1991.She now lives in Pune.

    I have been Selma’s fan since the time she played for Railways in Pune, don’t remember the year, but I do have pix which I had taken then!
