Indian hockey legend Mohd Shahid passes away
Triple Olympian and Moscow Olympics gold medalist Mohd Shahid, 56, passed away today at a Gurgaon hospital. He was undergoing treatment for multiple defects.
Md. Shahid, a resident of Varanasi, a historic town about 300 east of Delhi, was suffering from bouts of Jaundice last 2,3 months, and it aggravated in the last week of June,2016. He was then shifted from Varanasi to Intensive Care Unit at Medanta hospital in Gurgaon.
He breathed his last today at 10:45 am.
He is survived by wife, Parveen Begum and two children,son Mohd. Saif and daughter Heena. His son is doing third year Commerce under-graduation while daughter is employed in Delhi.
